Prof Suraj Bhan, an
eminent archaeologist said
that there is no shred of
evidence to indicate a
temple existed before Babri
Masjid. On the contrary, the
excavation indicates Muslim
inhabitation in before any
temple or anything. Historian
Irfan Habib maintained that
there’s no evidence to
indicate that there was any
temple.
